I dont think it is HDD pbm.
Reasons:
1) Same pbm exist for my Panaosnic DVD recorder with 紅白黃 input, with which the generated file of the 有線 programme have non smooth sound, but smooth video.
2) I am now directly recording the prgormame to another new 3' ext hdd ( with separte electric supply), same pmb exists for the newly attached hdd
3) Clicking sound exists in the recorded prgramme during playback, even i play the file in computer. But the sound not from the machine. And if really HDD pbm, i think the picture would have pbm as well. But now the picture qualty is actually smooth.

Yes, i feel strange too!
I have done some research, i noted sth called "ground loop hum", dont know if that is related to the case.
So i will buy one "ground loop isolator" to test test.

Oh. yes.......i see......
SIgh......now, the soultion is that i needa turn off the magic TV (ie the power button on the machine) before i start recording cable programme via component.
This can solve the pbm
