i dont have this problem ( im playing "4k bluray -the martian" with "Deepwater Horizon" sub)  , see below. would you please PM me your email, so i can send you the same sub file which i had tried on my machine to you for a quick test?

The subtitle I downloaded is in traditional Chinese so I have not made any conversion.
I will try again during coming weekend.
