Aluminium Oxide filled Flavor Power Cable

When I was back to HK in April, I bought 3 feet of VH Audio Flavor power cord (star-quad, 4X12 awg copper wires). The wire only has a very think insulation and is tightly twisted, which I think this is most suitable for making sand-filled power cord.  

I had a Flavor power cord years ago.  This is a very clear and dynamic power cord. Let see how it will wound with sand filled

Put in heat shrink and sealed the end:



Filled with sand, sealed both ends, going to connect to Furu F11 and Hubbel IEC:



As each leg is so thick (9 awg altogether with 2 wires), something has to be done so that they can be inserted into the hole of the plugs . Will post more photos later

After more than three hours' work, the sand-filled  Flavor 4 was born

Because the legs are so thick, I finally chose Vimar and Furutech IEC plugs.










It replaced the diy Neotech OCC solid copper power cord.   



As the cord is so heavy, I need to support it with something.

師兄用咁多PU cushion 頂線，效果怎樣？
有冇諗過用車D大大小小環保袋、內盛AL Oxide, 頂得又壓得之餘，係咪有調校之便呢？

Those are just handy stuff. No idea about their sonic performance. May be I should try your suggestion later on.    Thanks.

I 've just upgraded my computer to  Eng. Window 7.  Failed to install Chinese input (廣東).  Hate to type English cos I can't really express the  real diy fun in Cantonese.

您要條新power cable咁辛苦竪係個Furutech dist box面，不如考慮用中途插midway conn 理順排線，會唔會好D 呢？

Well, I had made one look like this:





The plug was made by "Eagle", very nicely looking one. I bought it from a home hardware last year.  That was the last one there .  

The cord was DH power cable.  May be I should redo it by sand-filled.

Brand Hubbell 都有。  u got the nice piece，anyway。Eagle, good la~
U can always get more from LOWES vor~. 香港有D 鍍金插Hubbell 賣幾舊水隻，太貴啦。
